It’s a day designed to encourage, equip, empower and release women to a deeper understanding of God’s tremendous and immeasurable love. If you think you know Jesus loves you, I challenge you to come and learn more.

Donna Savill

Donna grew up on the Gold Coast, and after studying town planning at University, attended Bible College. She is married to Bryce, and together they have raised two generous kids who love Jesus, Hannah (21) and Josh (19).  Donna is Queensland’s first Churches of Christ ordained female Pastor. She has been a women’s ministry coordinator, worked in church engagement roles, and currently facilitates mission in the areas of chaplaincy in aged care, social housing and foster care, as part of the executive team for Church and Community Engagement for Churches of Christ Queensland.

Because of Jesus, Donna feels truly loved, healed, forgiven and free. She longs for people to experience the freedom and joy that comes when Jesus does his work in their hearts.

Donna wants to see people radically transformed, surrendered in worship, passionate in prayer, generously giving, sacrificially serving, empowered by the Holy Spirit, using their gifts, and experiencing abundant life!

Donna really enjoys chain sawing down trees, going for drives with Bryce in their old Mustang, and photography. She’s currently studying an MBA, and whilst not related to Jenny Savill, Donna did renew her My Heritage subscription in the hope that they were!

Bernii Godwin

Bernii lives with her husband and stepson in Logan, Australia. Together as a family they enjoy a simple life of church, friends and community. Most of their adventures take them outdoors with their beloved dog Honey Bear. In Bernii’s free time she enjoys ballroom dancing and working on her next project.

Bernii is a Loving on Purpose Coach and partnered with Danny Silk to co-author Loving our Students on Purpose (LoSoP). Danny is the author of multiple books that encourage leaders, parents and individuals to establish whole healthy families. LoSoP, whilst not specifically faith based, has incorporated the full range of Danny’s material to support faith and non-faith schools to implement positive character development through a behaviour education lens. It is Bernii’s vision to put a copy of LoSoP on every desk, in every school, in the world and see our communities transformed by powerful, responsible graduates.

Bernii has had the privilege of working with a full spectrum of human services and behaviour ages including maternity through to aged care. This breadth of experience and education has provided her a unique opportunity to speak into the lives of individuals, families, schools and organisations to coach them in developing an understanding of their own needs and how to meet those needs effectively whilst respecting the rights of others.

She has a passion for seeing people live free, empowered, transformed and restored.

Jenny Savill

Jenny is a preacher’s kid and a pastor’s wife. Born and raised in Sydney, she arrived in Toowoomba when she was 16 years old. Throughout her life, Jenny has done many things; from graphic design, to piano teacher, a high school enrolments officer and currently Pastor.

Jenny is married to Ross, a long term youth pastor of 37 years and he is now currently Senior Pastor. Together they have been in ministry for 40 years at HumeRidge Church of Christ, South Toowoomba. Jenny is a mother of four married adult children, and ‘Noni’ to five grandchildren. She is a creative who loves playing the piano, worshipping, drawing, sewing, walking and is addicted to Audible.

Jenny finds joy in empowering women to be all that God has created them to be, and her walk with Jesus is her lifeline. She looks forward to sharing some of this with us all at Shine 2024.

Fun Fact: Jenny and Donna are not related.

Ali Dodsworth

Throughout the years, Ali has been blessed with many opportunities to serve God within youth and kids ministry. She has done so in multiple locations, including missionary settings like South America.

In the past few years God has enabled Ali to adventure alongside her husband and gorgeous little boy. Entering a new season of motherhood, Ali is currently discerning how best to serve God—balancing investment in her son, whilst continuing to support and invest in others.

A self-confessed extrovert, Ali loves journeying with people as they journey with Jesus.  Not only has she had the privilege of being able to do this in many settings throughout her worklife, but Ali finds that this relaxes and refreshes her in her free time as well. Ali gets so excited to see God revealing who He is, and enjoys the wonderful privilege of sharing Him with others.
